When the Garden Explodes and Jet Lag Hits Hard

Hey Reader,

I came back home last week, and the very first thing that caught my eye was my garden. Oh boy, it exploded while I was away! From loads of basil, sage and rosemary… to pile of sweet gentle cilantro.

You know that feeling when you open the fridge and all the produce stares back at you, begging to be used before it wilts? Well, that kind of a situation 🌿

So, what does one do with an overload of herbs? You get a little creative 🙌

First, I made a batch of herb butter. Just a simple mix of soft butter, chopped herbs, and a pinch of salt. It is ridiculously easy, so delicious and useful. Spread it on bread, melt it over grilled veggies, or sneak it under the skin of chicken before roasting. What you get is an instant flavour bomb.

Then, because my basil was looking way too smug, I made a chunky, healthy pesto with a twist. You can toss that one in pasta, drizzle over grilled chicken, or stir into roasted potatoes. So yummy!

No, did I mention the jet lag?

Oh wow, the past week my brain and body have been living in two different time zones. Mornings felt like nights, afternoons dragged like molasses, and coffee quickly became my survival tool. But instead of the usual cup, I found myself experimenting with flavours. Cold, iced, creamy, tropical… you name it. Coffee recipes just kept popping up in my kitchen like little rescue missions ☕

The good news is that I've been sharing those recipes with you. Because if coffee can help me crawl out of jet lag zombie-land, it can definitely perk up your mornings too.

So, whether you are swimming in garden of herbs or just in need of a serious caffeine boost, I’ve got you covered this week. Check my recipes below, so easy and delicious.
