Hey Reader,
For the longest time, my days went the same way 👉 I would get breakfast, then grab a snack. Eat a proper lunch, and somehow I was still back in the pantry not long after, looking for something to nibble on. I wasn’t even that hungry, I was just running on empty.
I blamed my busy days, my schedule, the weather, pretty much everything except what was on my plate. Then I took an honest look at what I was eating. Mostly toast in the morning, crackers at my desk, pasta for dinner... All delicious and quick, but none of it kept me going for long.
The Small Change That Made a Big Difference
I didn’t go on a diet or start counting anything, I simply started adding more protein. Things like eggs instead of toast, greek yogurt instead of cereal.
Within a week or so, the snack attacks calmed down, my energy was steadier through the afternoon, and I wasn’t starving by the time dinner came around. Did I mention that I just start feeling amazing?
Few Swaps to Try
Here are some of my favourites tricks, straight from my kitchen to yours 👇
For breakfast, trade the cereal or the bagel for a greek yogurt. Top it with your favourite berries and some chia seeds.
For tacos and wraps, use butter lettuce leaves instead of tortillas. They are crisp and fresh, and they hold the filling better than you’d think.
For salads, skip the croutons and add roasted chickpeas or a handful of nuts. Still crunchy, delicious and it keeps you full much longer.
For snacks, roll a slice of cheese inside a slice of turkey. No special prep at all, and it actually holds you over until dinner.
If you are worried this means more time in the kitchen, it really doesn’t! Most of these swaps take the same time or less.
